Our client is a leading global retailer and is currently seeking an experienced ER Specialist to join the team based at head office. The main purpose of the role is to develop and lead implementation of employment policies across the organisation and to reduce unnecessary costs arising from TUPE and M$A activity.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implement firm-wide ER policies and effectively communicate to HR and line managers;
  • Provide expert advice on particulalry complex ER issues that are escalated to the ER Managers;
  • Review and analyse employment legislation to identify the impact on the organisation;
  • Participate in government consultation where relevant;
  • To identify and deliver specific project work.

You will have detailed knowledge of current employment law legislation and significant experience in successfully managing complex ER issues ideally within a blue-chip environment. This is a client facing role and as such strong stakeholder management skills are essential coupled with the ability to engage with employees at all levels and divisions within the business.

You will also have a proven track record in successfully managing projects and developing ER policies. Trade union experience is advantageous but most importantly is an assertive and outgoing personality with the ability to inspire confidence at senior levels.
