Our client is a market leading cruise operator with a number of liners that operate throughout many exotic locations including the Caribbean, Hawaii and the Bahamas.

In this brand new role you will have the unique opportunity to act as the ship's stand-alone HR Manager, providing advice on all generalist issues including ER, performance management and employee development.  The ship's hotel area has around 650 staff alone so the emphasis will be on coaching and guiding line managers as apposed to being hands on with all issues.  Staff are made up of numerous nationalities including a large number from the Philippines and India so an understanding of cultural difference and sensitivities is essential.

You will be on board for 3 months, when you will be expected to work most days, although the pattern in which you work is flexible.  You will spend the next month in the company's head office in Southampton, followed by two month's annual leave, after which the cycle will begin again.

These opportunities are for an experienced and adventurous HR Manager, looking to work in an exhilarating but extremely demanding environment.  Ideally you will have experience of working in an ER heavy role, perhaps in the retail or catering sector.  As an individual you will be resilient with the ability to influence and build relationships in a hierarchical environment.
