Global Employee and Industrial Relations Director (ER/IR) An opportunity has arisen for a senior HR professional to join this global energy business. In the context of global transformation and the need for consistency across the Globe, a small strategic ER team has been created to complement and support the ER teams embedded in the business units. You must have significant and robust industrial relations and employee relations experience gained within complex, global organisations as an ER/IR specialist or generalist HR practitioner. You will have gained significant experience dealing with trade unions throughout your career, including leading major negotiations. This will be coupled with up to date employment law knowledge and at least some appreciation of the subtleties and idiosyncrasies of international labour law and local customs. You must have had experience of working in a manufacturing environment or similar heavy industry, additional hands on experience of M&A activity would be highly advantageous. Personally you must have strong commercial acumen and international political awareness, with the ability to provide advice and guidance in the context of these agendas and drivers. Due to the nature of the role you will need to travel 30% of the time. |
