I run our reward, mobility and HR technology practice in London, focusing on executive moves cross sector on both permanent and interim contracts. Appointments will typically involve searches for senior managers to global heads. I joined Frazer Jones initially to spearhead our reward, HRIS, payroll, mobility and analytics offering to our financial and professional services clients.
As a business, we have evolved our offering to mirror our client’s needs by streamlining our product to align to specialist vertical markets. This has allowed me to demonstrate even more in-depth awareness of market trends, candidate profiles and client needs, whilst being able to cater to all levels of operational hiring in reward across London and the M25 region.
Since 2013, I have partnered with a wide array of businesses to headhunt talent globally, culminating in a smooth and efficient process for both clients and candidates alike. I have been retained on a number of senior hires where confidentiality and delivery was paramount to a successful campaign. Conversely, I’ve built out newly created reward functions to strict deadlines in challenging locations, ensuring a strong buy-in from the market.
Some of my most successful work has involved “true business partnering” with clients where open-communication was integral, and allowed me to portray analysis, insights and market updates to allow hiring managers to make educated decisions to hire top talent. I have facilitated a number of searches in niche areas of HR, inclusive of practitioners in cash compensation, deferred compensation, share plans, executive compensation, governance or regulatory compensation, RemCo advisors, reward analytics, benefits, health and wellbeing, flexible benefits, pensions, HR Analytics and a range of HR systems specialists.
Having been instructed on a variety of appointments at all grades of seniority, I have gleaned information as to how reward differs at contrasting levels and how the specialism has evolved, therefore allowing me to voice credible opinions about the current state of play in the market. I pride myself in aiding clients decision-making by ensuring value-add information is provided throughout the entire process, from pre-instruction to assisting the onboarding of the successfully appointed candidate. I ensure a tailored approach to provide realistic solutions to meet the needs of my clients whilst being able to tap in to unidentified talent pools through global networks, leadership forums and referrals from various sources. Integrity, honesty and due diligence underpin my successful projects.
Prior to moving into recruitment, I was a professional tennis coach in Scotland, instructing a range of clients both in group and private tuition. This honed my skills to offer bespoke services to a wide range of clients, teaching me from a young age that no two clients are the same. I played tennis at county level in Scotland, and now play socially at a club in Reigate. When I’m not playing tennis, I enjoy playing a multitude of genres on acoustic guitar, inclusive of classical and gypsy jazz (think a hybrid between jazz, blues and swing!) and enjoy spending time visiting new places with my wife, Catherine.
