I am delighted to be partnering with an ambitious and people centric global publishing business to appoint a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to join its People & Culture team on a 12-14 month Maternity cover.

This is an exciting time to join the business as a senior recruitment professional who enjoys partnering closely with leaders, shaping recruitment strategy, and delivering a high‑touch, inclusive hiring experience. You will have meaningful influence, ownership of the end‑to‑end recruitment lifecycle, and the opportunity to contribute to wider DEI and people initiatives.

The role

As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers across the UK and globally, proactively anticipating talent needs and translating business priorities into effective recruitment solutions. You will balance hands‑on delivery with strategic input, ensuring recruitment processes are both efficient and inclusive.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with senior leaders and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs
  • Owning full cycle recruitment, from role briefing and sourcing through to offer and onboarding support
  • Designing and continuously improving consistent, compliant recruitment processes
  • Providing expert guidance on interview strategy, assessment, and selection ensuring inclusive processes throughout.
  • Managing and optimising the applicant tracking system (Team Tailor), ensuring a positive experience for candidates and managers.
  • Supporting employer branding activity and helping position the business as an employer of choice.
  • Collaborating with HR colleagues on job design, inclusive job advertising, and compensation alignment.
  • Tracking and reporting on recruitment metrics, DEI data, and hiring activity
  • Staying up to date with employment law, market trends, and best practice in talent acquisition

About you

This role will suit an experienced, commercially minded Talent Acquisition professional who is confident operating in a fast‑paced, stakeholder‑driven environment. You will be comfortable with hands on recruitment sourcing and delivery alongside the strategic oversight of new recruitment processes and strategy.

You will have:

  • It is essential that you have experience in a corporate or in‑house talent acquisition role, ideally within a mid‑ to large‑sized organisation. Ideally within the publishing, media or across commercial/professional services sectors
  • Proven success managing a varied and fluctuating group of roles at all levels.
  • Experience recruiting across professional, technical, commercial or specialist roles.
  • Strong sourcing capability, including passive candidate engagement with an excellent level of experience using LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • Confidence influencing and advising senior stakeholders in multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Solid knowledge of UK employment law and recruitment compliance
  • Comfort working with ATS technology and recruitment data/reporting – dashboards are in place currently; you will have responsibility of reviewing and reporting on the data.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong communication and relationship‑building skills

It is essential that you have worked in an in house recruitment role as part of your most recent experience.
