Business update and diversity agenda 2021

Februar 25, 2021

The first month of 2021 has already passed and it feels that despite a stricter lockdown in Germany, along with accomodations to be made for homeschooling and childcare, the economy is picking up once more and many companies are looking confidently towards the future. Many companies have come into the year with certain expectations and a distinct hope for an improvement of the situation, and in such hope, have taken up their hiring plans. This all points towards a year with interesting developments in the months to come. In particular, we have noted an increasing demand for Talent Acquisition professionals, as well as Talent Managers and Compensation & Benefits specialists. The increase is perceiveable throughout almost all sectors.

For us at Frazer Jones, we feel this year holds more in store  than just regaining a strong economy. The last year not only had a major impact on the world’s economy, it has also had a major impact on society as a whole. People were required to behave more consciously, and overall it seems a spirit has emerged in which we have become more united. Although the media may, at the moment, paint a different picture by focusing on the relatively small proportion of people who struggle with the concept, I feel that in some ways the crisis has despite social distancing brought us closer together, and has furthermore been a catalyst for change. We want to contribute in keeping this momentum going and have declared this year as one where we as a company want to support people who desperately need to be heard and have a seat at the table, regardless of their background, status and upbringing. More concretely, we want to promote the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion agenda as much as possible, the importance of which has been deeply rooted in our company’s DNA for many years.  I already touched on the issue in our last newsletter and would like to invite all of you to follow our DEI agenda throughout the course of this year. We will be hosting events, conducting interviews and celebrating our differences, as well as our common values. I hope we can contribute to the progression of any and all efforts on this topic; a focus that is long overdue in a society that deems itself inherently democratic. I, personally, cannot wait for a future that is even more inclusive, in which all people are truly treated as equals. Please see below a list of our upcoming events and reach out to us if you would like to participate.

Finally, I would like to share some exciting news with our community. The SR Group Germany, including Frazer Jones and our sister brands Carter Murray and Taylor Root, are proud to announce that we have been certified by the Great Place to Work institute as an excellent employer. I am very proud of this achievement, which has once again proven what an outstanding team and successful people agenda we have in place. As some of you know, my personal background is in organisational consulting. I do not take this for granted and know how much hard work goes into maintaining this, especially as we have been awarded several years running. If you are interested in exploring a career with us, I invite you to get in touch.

Best regards,

Katharina
