About the Role
We’re seeking a Compensation Associate for someone who thrives in a data‑driven environment, enjoys solving complex compensation challenges, and wants to help shape scalable compensation infrastructure. You’ll support both broad‑based and equity compensation programs, contribute to job architecture design, and play a key role in benchmarking and market analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Broad-Based Compensation
- Support the design, administration, and governance of base pay, bonus, and incentive programs.
- Conduct competitive market analyses to ensure compensation programs remain aligned with internal equity and external competitiveness.
Equity & Long-Term Incentives
- Assist in the administration of equity programs, including grants, vesting schedules, and employee communications.
- Support modeling and analysis related to equity valuation, dilution, and forecasting.
- Contribute to carried interest program administration and tracking.
Job Architecture & Salary Structures
- Maintain and enhance job architecture frameworks, including leveling, grading, and job families.
- Support the development and maintenance of salary structures and pay ranges.
- Conduct job matching and benchmarking using market survey data.
Surveying & Benchmarking
- Participate in compensation surveys and ensure accurate submission of organizational data.
- Analyze survey results and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Maintain market data libraries and compensation tools.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Build compensation models, dashboards, and reports to support decision‑making.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across compensation systems and processes.
- Support annual compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, and equity reviews.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in compensation
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel; experience with HRIS or compensation tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with market pricing, job evaluation, and compensation survey methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Interest or experience in equity compensation and carried interest programs preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with job architecture frameworks and leveling methodologies.
- Knowledge of equity compensation concepts (e.g., RSUs, options, valuation basics).
- Exposure to private equity, financial services, or high‑growth environments.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
