Where organisations were paying above market to attract talent, we are seeing budgets being more restrained and a softening of the trend to simply buy talent. We have also started to see the shift where people who may have moved for money aren’t necessarily happy with the culture, creating movement in the market. As inflation remains a very big issue for a lot of people we will watch closely to see how this impacts retention.
For time to hire, we are seeing more people entering Australia on the working holiday visa relieving some of the pressure we have seen on the entry-mid level temp market but it is increasingly difficult to find candidates at the mid-senior level for fixed-term contracts.
