60 second interview: Margot Milders

Margot is a senior consultant in our Amsterdam office. 

Here, we get to know her a little better. 

What was your first ever job?

My first job ever was as a waitress at a famous pizzeria, during my student time in Groningen.


What is your favourite restaurant?

A wonderful real traditional Italian restaurant in Cannes, France called Da Laura.


What is your favourite film?
Scarface and other mafia movies. Al Pacino is my favourite actor!


What’s your greatest personal achievement? 
Almost 10 years ago, I built from scratch a new Rotary service club in our village with only female members. At this moment, we have 35 wonderful members all from different professions. We learn from each other, have fun and service the local community.


What’s your favourite quote or motto? 
‘Just go for it!’


What did you want to be as a child? 
As a child I wanted to become an ambassador. I wanted to the opportunity to help people in need, meet and learn from other culture and live abroad for several years.


What was the first record you bought?
The first record I bought was ‘Arena’ from Duran Duran. 


What is the best thing about your job?
Delivering the right match between candidate and company, still after almost 20 years of working in recruitment!


Who’s influenced your career most (and why)?
My mother advised me to take good care of myself and become a (financially) independent, inspiring, and free thinking woman. 


Have you got any hidden talents?
I love to dance all night long to ‘80 music! If I had to change jobs, I would probably become a DJ…


What book are you currently reading?
Currently I’m reading ‘Corporate Rebels’ from Pim de Morree and Joost Minnaar.
