In March we hosted a webinar on violence against women and what HR needed to know. In a follow-up event we are delighted to have Cutty Felton talk to us about vicarious trauma and the mitigation of risk for HR professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recent changes to WHS\/OHS regulations mean that organisations have an obligation to manage and control psychosocial hazards and risks. But who looks after the people who look after your people?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cutty will talk us through the four key skills of managing and controlling psychosocial hazards and risks; and cover why the lack of appropriate training and skill development inadvertently creates the exposure. In addition to vicarious trauma, Cutty will also talk about compassion fatigue, burnout, and the potential indicators for all of these.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This feels like our most important webinar yet to help HR professionals ensure they are mitigating the risk for their own health and well-being.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Cutty Felton<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Founder, CEO and Presenter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founder of Accidental Counsellor, Cutty is a speaker, consults with and trains those that engage with colleagues or clients in distress or vulnerable circumstances, having regard also to the particular requirements around awareness, management and control of psychosocial hazards and risks in the workplace. Cutty appears live wherever in the world her work takes her, both in person and via remote delivery. By profession, Cutty is a Solicitor, admitted to practice both in South Africa and Australia. Cutty has volunteered as a crisis supporter on Lifeline\u2019s suicide prevention and crisis intervention line and holding various other positions within the organisation for many years, including as an accredited crisis supporter, as well as corporate and DV Alert trainer.
Cutty has been privileged to deliver presentations and briefings to staff at the House of Representatives in Canberra and was honoured to deliver her \u2018Accidental Counsellor\u2019 for the Office for Women in the Department of the Prime Minister & Cabinet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
