At Frazer Jones, we try to empower every colleague to bring their true self to work, every day.

And we want clients and candidates to experience that inclusiveness too.

By educating ourselves and appreciating how different life experiences shape us, we’re in a stronger position to understand the professionals we work with beyond their profiles.

As a recruitment company, we’re aware of the vital role we can play in creating a more diverse, inclusive and progressive future for workplaces of every shape and size.

We’re also very conscious of the increasingly critical role that environmental, social, and governance (ESG) can play in not only making businesses better, but the world in which we all live in outside of work.

As part of our efforts, James Casey spoke to five experts to get their opinion on different aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and ESG.

In this, our fifth and final episode of the series, we speak to Max Zanker, Regional Manager at Jobs4refugees.

About Max Zanker

Max dedicates his career towards contributing to a society that offers equal chances to all.

As he considers displaced people to be particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged in their host societies, Max decided to work with the refugee community in his home country, Germany. He joined jobs4refugees, a young non-profit organisation, in early 2019 to establish the organisation’s first office outside of Berlin. The organisation bridges the gap between refugee jobseekers and employers through consultation, training, and recruitment services. As the Regional Manager and team lead in Frankfurt, Max designs and implements Corporate Social Responsibility programs to promote diversity and inclusion at jobs4refugees’ corporate partners and in society as a whole.

Max holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the Free University of Berlin and a master’s degree in Development Practice from the University of California, Berkeley. As a Fulbright Scholar and development practitioner, he has previously worked on projects to promote inclusive development in Bangladesh, Egypt, and India.

In 2021, Max ran as a candidate in the German federal elections for the pan-European party “Volt”. His campaign motto was “For one society that creates opportunities for everyone”.
