We’re working with a social services agency specializing in services for children with 250 employees nationally and growing. The business is a non-profit, but has several business units which operate as for-profit entities. They are seeking to hire a Benefits and Compensation Manager based out of their Midtown Manhattan location on a hybrid basis (3 days per week onsite).

This is a newly created role, essentially carving benefits and compensation out of the HR business partner function and embedding the capabilities. This is an individual contributor role with a focus on building out their rewards processes and infrastructure to support fast-paced, hi-volume of transactions efficiently. The crux of the position is focused on benefits compliance and administration, inclusive of health & welfare, retirement, and leaves of absence. Our client has a fully insured H&W plan, which is negotiated by their VP of HR, but with which the Benefits and Compensation Manager will get involved. Compensation ranges are determined by a third party vendor, but this manager will be responsible for the administration of compensation and ensuring consistency in this area. This function has historically had limited oversight. There are a number of changes to the plans that this manager will be responsible for rolling out successfully. Our client is seeking a candidate who can manage the current volume via existing manual processes with grace, while working in the background to automate their processes and optimize the benefits and compensation modules in ADP.

The ideal candidate will be a builder in nature with 5+ years of progressive experience in benefits and compensation. Industry experience is not required, but would be helpful. Our client is seeking someone with strong influencing skills and a pleasant demeanor. A commercial mindset and a customer service orientation is vital for success in this role.
