About our Client
We are delighted to be working exclusively with a Fortune 500 US MNC with significant market share and is a global Pharmaceutical leader in many areas of its business, and has strong ambitions to become a global leader in the remaining areas where it is not yet. To support their YOY results, we are recruiting for a high calibre Country Head of HR, China to take on a strategic leadership role for one of their biggest and fastest growing market.
Reporting to the Regional VP HR and managing a sizeable team, the Country Head of HR, China will play a critical role in conceptualising and driving HR strategies to support a market which is positioned for exponential growth. Possessing a strong commercial acumen, the Country Head of HR will recommend the necessary HR programmes and initiatives to support their business objectives and drive a high-performance management culture across its multiple sites/offices. These will include, but limited to, organisational design, talent development / management, talent acquisition and total rewards programmes to engage, retain and develop strong talents across their business units. As an advisor to a highly dynamic leadership team, the Country Head of HR will be pivotal to provide the necessary intervention or recommendations to support or influence their decision marking.
The Successful Candidate
To succeed in this role, you must have a proven track record in managing a high growth organisation in China, preferably with extensive experience in Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices / Healthcare / FMCG or equivalent industry. With a least 15 years of experience as a Senior HR Leader, you are comfortable in working in a highly matrix and fast paced environment, coupled with the ability to manage multiple projects and tight deadlines. You should have immaculate and efficient communication skills to influence, negotiate and support a diverse and dynamic group of senior leaders. You possess strong leadership and mentorship experience to coach and develop a high performing HR organisation in China. You must have a strong knowledge of legislation and laws in China, and the ability to speak, write and read business level Mandarin.
