Director of Compensation
We’re partnering with a global industrial manufacturing client in their efforts to select and hire a Director of Compensation. The business is in the nascent stages of a large scale transformation of their broad-based compensation plans, which have not been revised for a number of years. They currently use a market reference point system against which each of their 500+ jobs in each of their global markets is benchmarked annually, but they are aiming to transition to a more efficient program, which the Director will play a key role in determining, working with the business to gain support for, and ultimately implementing across the business globally. The company has 9,000 employees globally with core markets in the US, Europe, and Asia Pacific. This role will have 2 direct reports, with the opportunity to grow by another 1-2 reports in 2025. Executive compensation was recently carved out from underneath this role in order to enable this director to successfully tackle the array of initiatives across broad-based compensation without the distraction of executive compensation projects, which is in a similar transformative state.
Our client is seeking candidates with:
* Broad-based compensation design experience
* Proven expertise in leading the transformation of compensation programs
* Global experience
* Several years of team management experience
* A balanced mix of well-developed analytical and interpersonal skills
* ~15+ years of well-rounded experience in global matrixed organizations of a comparable size and scope
