Director of People & Culture
We are delighted to be working with a fantastic Bristol based global charity on a retained basis to hire their Director of People & Culture. Reporting to the Executive Director this position sits on the Senior Executive Leadership team and is responsible for shaping and driving the People agenda to support the organisations future ambitions.
Their reach into communities, conservation and the environment, which puts people first, lies at the heart of this charity and their core values. The organisation has global reach particularly across Africa and APAC, is extremely well funded, growing rapidly and expanding into new geographies.
Working closely with the Executive Director and the senior leadership team you will manage an in-country/local HR team and build a robust People agenda and processes that will support and future proof the organisation as they go through rapid growth. As such you will be responsible for driving cultural change, behaviours and values alongside building people development, coaching senior leaders and getting your hands dirty operationally where necessary.
This role will suit an experienced HR professional who has worked at Head/Director level and preferably with experience of working or living in APAC or Africa. While there isn’t a preference for corporate vs charity experience, your own values towards human change and putting communities first has to be at the forefront and grounded in evidence. Alongside this you will need a track record and experience of driving change and rapid growth.

Bristol or London based, this role will require 2-3 days in the office/week alongside International travel.
