Employee Relations Manager
I am delighted to be working with a leading global professional services firm who are in a commanding position within the legal sector. I am currently looking for an Employee Relations Manager who can provide commercial and innovative employee relations advice to the HR function, Partners and Business Teams Managers. The role will report to the Head of Employment Relations and have dual line management responsibility for an ER Assistant.
The main purpose of this role is to manage risk for the business and support delivery against the firm’s strategic people priorities. The successful candidate will manage employee relations issues such as providing advice, attending meetings, monitoring trends and delivering ER training.
As the Employee Relations Manager, you will also be responsible for policy development and advice to ensure policies are in line with legislation and best practice. Additionally, you will ensure that the firm’s relevant ER channels are well-publicised, reviewed regularly for efficacy, and consistent with best practices. You will also manage and develop an ER knowledge bank of management guidelines and best practice precedents to support their HR teams and managers.
The successful candidate will be supported by and work closely with the wider HR team, including HR experts across Legal practices and Business Teams. The team ensures that its people are managed effectively to deliver against the firm’s strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of ER issues with proven experience in managing strategic ER issues, excellent influencing skills and the confidence to challenge stakeholders where necessary. It is important that you have had significant experience within a professional services environment with a preference for the legal sector.
