We are working with a mission-driven medical device client based in Central Connecticut to hire a Global Manager of Talent Acquisition. This is a newly created role that will report to a Head of HR Operations, as the individual leading Talent Acquisition was promoted into a broader role within the Talent and HR Operations team and needs someone to take over their day-to-day leadership of the Talent Acquisition function globally. This role will manage a team of 8 Talent Acquisition Business Partners and 2 Talent Acquisition Coordinators.
Local candidates will be expected to be onsite 3 days per week, but non-local candidates will need to be able to travel to the company's headquarters in Connecticut 3-5 days per month. Periodic global travel will be an expectation of this role as well. Our client is seeking someone who has prior experience in life sciences, manufacturing, or consumer products who has been in a talent acquisition role managing a team for a minimum of 5-6 years. This role will not entail any hands-on recruiting, but will lead the team and provide strategic oversight for the Talent Acquisition function. The team that is in place is high functioning and works autonomously. Systems and processes are well-defined and efficient, but all of this will need to be maintained and evolved. There is a need for a stronger sourcing strategy to fulfil sales positions globally, interviewer training for hiring managers, and the establishment of working partnerships with local trade schools to provide a better pipeline of talent for manufacturing roles. This role will have the support of an analytics professional for data capture and reporting purposes.
