We are pleased to be collaborating with an up-and-coming fintech firm that has been leaving an indelible mark on the digital payments market in recent years. Headquartered in Singapore, our client currently has outposts in more than 30 countries around the world. Their success is not incidental, but heavily attributed to how they have kept their ears close to the ground to stay abreast of the latest happenings. As such, their payment instrument platform has since expanded beyond the capacity of a billing carrier to encompass other alternative payments gateways (e.g. e-wallet). Named among the fastest growing companies by the Financial Times for several years in a row, it is no surprise that the client is looking for a Global Payroll Specialist to join them as they continue to scale. This is a fixed-term contractual role (6 to 12 months) with great possibility of extension and possibly conversion to full-time.

Job Description

Reporting in to the Global People Operations Lead, you will operate in a global capacity supporting the approximately 600 headcounts across more than 30 countries. This entails maintaining payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data. The client has both commercial and non-corporate entities under its charge so you have the opportunity to navigate a rather complex and varied payroll terrain. Additionally, each country used to have its own payroll vendor but the client is in the midst of centralising the process into a master, single vendor agreement. Candidates who enjoy driving payroll transformations will thrive in this setting.

Job Requirements

You should have a proven record for helming payroll processes for organisations of varying maturity levels (startup to SME to MNC). This entails possessing a can-do attitude and not afraid to get your hands ‘dirty’ as extant processes can be relatively manual in nature. You should likewise be equipped with sound knowledge of the various payroll/HRIS systems (especially Sapling) and have experience liaising with geographically dispersed vendors. Prior coverage of EMEA or LATAM will be looked upon very favourably.

What’s In It For You

In return, you will be offered a meaningful career with many opportunities for personal and professional growth in one of the fastest growing digital payments platforms. Since the firm’s HQ is in Singapore, you can expect to partner closely with the leadership team. Culture wise, a fun, friendly environment with no egos is promised.
