Our client, an International Bank, with global operations and a solid footprint in Asia Pacific, is seeking a Head of C&B to manage the organization's compensation and benefits programs across the APAC region including but not limited. The role reports into the International Head of Rewards and will be based in Hong Kong. The organization has 10 offices in the region and a headcount of close to 1200 staff.
You'll need to work with global C&B strategy and determine how it applies to APAC and identify the actions that need to be taken. Leading a team of professional staff and working closely with colleagues in EMEA, India and the US you will lead the evaluation of all Rewards programs, recommending and driving modification/change to maintain the organization's objectives and competitive position in the marketplace. There will be a strong focus on Benefits and Wellness strategy in the near term.
Overseeing project management of major projects and change initiatives, you will need to provide coaching and counsel to regional business leaders, managers, HRBPs and employees on C&B strategy, policies, programs and communications, serving as a subject matter expert on multiple complex aspects of regional C&B programs.
You'll need to use your experience as a thought leader to provide 'creative' solutions in respect of enhancements, efficiencies and statutory changes to C&B programmes. The role will also require you to oversee regulatory and equity reporting, manage regional C&B vendors, negotiating to secure favourable terms for the organization.
Our client is interested to speak with individuals that have broad APAC C&B leadership experience ideally within Banking or broader Financial services. However, candidates outside the sector will be considered if they have strong experience with developing innovative benefits strategy. Strong communication and influencing skills are a must with the ability to communicate complex concepts simply both verbally and in terms of written communications and policy proposals. Knowledge of regional employment law and tax law (as it relates to C&B issues) will also be important.
You should also hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 12 years' experience in this specialist field and have good team leadership experience. Fluency in English is paramount and experience working with C Suite executives in the region.
