Head of EDI Temp

Duties and responsibilities

• In consultation with the Pro-Provost (Equity & Inclusion), to develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the impact of institutional strategy and policy on EDI across the institution
• • To lead strategic and financial planning for the EDI team and to ensure the appropriate identification and deployment of resources in support of institutional strategic aims on EDI
  • To provide effective leadership and direction to the EDI team (currently +/- 14 FTE) and to ensure the effective running of the team, including by overseeing the delivery of comprehensive operational support
  • To work with, and facilitate, the strategic activity of senior academic EDI leads across the organsation, particularly the (EDI)
  • To be accountable for the overall programme management of EDI projects, ensuring that they are adequately resourced and holding colleagues to account for performance and deliverables
  • To ensure that strategically utilises EDI data to drive effective decision-making and planning
  • To work with senior colleagues to ensure that EDI strategies are aligned with other institutional strategies, policies, processes, systems and products including by contributing to the development of these, and representing EDI on relevant committees and oversight groups, as requested by the Pro-Provost
