I am supporting an exciting Service provider within the Pharmaceuticals sector to appoint a Head of HR in a newly created post. Having been acquired over the last 12 months via Private Equity, the organisation is going through some significant change which involves creating a new HR structure and rebuilding HR from the ground up. Having previously been a subsidiary of a much larger organisation this is very much a start-up environment. Whilst the headcount across Europe is relatively small (sub 300) the workforce is spread across 10 countries and you will need to evidence a strong background in multi country European HR knowledge. The role reports into an experienced HR Director who is looking for someone to help evolve the function and become a trusted advisor to the business, with also the potential to be her successor.
You will directly manage a small team whilst being able to juggle both tactical and strategic HR. The organisation continues to be inquisitive in the market and there is the potential of additional acquisitions alongside an ambitious European growth agenda.
You will be able to evidence a strong Generalist HR background having operated in a small to medium size environment. This is a hands on role so the ability to roll up sleeves is key, strong European HR experience is critical with an additional European language being an advantage. The ability to build virtual relationships and demonstrate an influencing and coaching communication style are both key requirements.
