Our client, a growing ambulatory care healthcare company based on Long Island is seeking to hire their first Head of HR. Our client is seeking candidates with 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally gained in the healthcare industry supporting a field-based population. This position will support the entire organization and will report to the CEO, who is very employee-friendly and wants to partner with this HR leader to build a progressive culture. The ideal candidate will be well-rounded across all areas of HR with some experience opening new offices or integrating acquired practices into the business.

The company has over 400 employees, most of them distributed in the field at 20+ locations in the Long Island region, as well as other locations across New York State and nationally. The ideal candidate will have experience working for a mix of large companies, from which they gained best-in-class HR experience, and smaller scaling companies, where they honed their technical expertise across all aspects of HR. While this role will work closely with the senior leaders on the long-term strategy and planning, the Head of HR can expect to spend a good amount of their time visiting the offices and needs to be relatable to the employee population at large. This role will manage a small team and will work diligently to ensure that the HR function is efficient, proactive, compliant, and aligned to the strategic goals of the business. This is a hybrid position with some expected travel to the various locations in the field. Onsite working and travel to the field will be higher initially in order to establish a solid working rapport with the management and the general employee population.
