Head of HR Business Partnering

Location: City of London (Hybrid – 3 days per week in office)

Reporting to: HR Director

Overview

This newly created role will lead the HR Business Partnering function across a UK and international footprint covering the UK, Ireland, Europe and South Africa.

The Head of HR Business Partners will play a critical role in aligning people strategy with business objectives, supporting leaders through change, and strengthening organisational effectiveness across multiple regions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnership

  • Lead the HR Business Partner team to deliver consistent, commercially focused people support to senior leaders across geographies.
  • Translate business strategy into clear people and workforce plans using financial, operational and workforce insight.
  • Act as a trusted advisor on leadership, organisation design, change and capability development.

Workforce Planning & Transformation

  • Partner closely with the Talent Centre of Excellence to deliver workforce and demand planning initiatives.
  • Lead and support organisational change and transformation activity across the international footprint.
  • Champion the adoption of HR analytics, self‑service and digital tools to improve decision‑making and efficiency.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Oversee people risk identification and mitigation across regions, working with relevant stakeholders.
  • Own the HRBP budget and support effective financial planning within HR.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of senior HR Business Partners.
  • Work closely with HR Centres of Expertise and Shared Services to ensure effective and seamless service delivery.
  • Deputise for the HR Director on business‑facing HR matters as required.

Experience & Capability

  • Extensive experience in senior HR Business Partnering roles within complex, multi‑country environments.
  • Proven experience leading change and transformation projects and initiatives.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to operate credibly with senior leadership.
  • Proven experience delivering workforce planning and organisational change at scale.
  • Confidence using data, analytics and technology to inform people decisions.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading high‑performing HR teams.
  • Experience working in IT/Tech/SAAS organisations is essential.
