I am supporting a professional services consultancy in appointing a Head of HR Services for the UK & Europe. The role will be supporting circa 10,000 staff across Europe. You will bridge the gap between HR Shared Services in India and supporting the business with HR advisory and ER activities. The role will lead a significant cascading team of 50 and will involve significant travel between London and Birmingham.
Reporting into the HR Director you will operate within a heavily matrix environment. Having recently implemented Workday there is a clear opportunity to evolve HR services underpinned by technology. This role will set the service and standards provided to the business, maintaining a forward thinking culture within the service delivery team and ensuring robust processes are in place for all employee data. The role will act as a signatory for UK payroll and manage the HRSS annual budget which is in excess of £4m. A key focus of this role is to provide specialist expertise in Employee Relations within a predominately corporate workforce. This will include overseeing a specialist team and leading on complex case work. The organisation provides a progressive, agile work culture however the role oversees significant populations based in London and Birmingham so travel between both hubs will be required. The organisation can offer exciting development. The role would sit as a potential successor to the HR Director as well as having lateral moves available into either Business Partnering or broader COE posts.
The suitable candidate will have led a significant HR team and have deep expertise in ER. Experience of working within a heavily matrix global business is key, along with working with off-shore shared services. You will be able to evidence impacting change as this role will have a mandate to embrace technology and look at automation and wider efficiencies. Workday experience would be beneficial but not essential.
