Head of Human Resources – Insurance

We are delighted to be partnering with a global insurer in their search for a Head of Human Resources to oversee their Kuala Lumpur people function.

This individual will lead the HR strategy, advisory and HR operations locally, reporting to the local CEO and acting as a trusted advisor the Leadership team. You will be supported by a relatively lean team of HR generalists and specialists whilst being able to leverage resources from global headquarters.

Alongside the BAU annual HR processes that this individual will lead, you will play a key part in the leadership team for one of the Group’s largest offices as well as the hub for the Asia growth initiative. Priorities for the office right now include Talent Attraction and Retention, Employee Engagement, Performance Management and Leadership Development.

We are looking for an experienced Head of HR, based in Malaysia, with a strong track record of managing a people function end to end with excellent stakeholder engagement experience and strategic knowledge. You will have a consultative and engaging personality and be able to influence and partner with the leadership team. You have prior experience managing and developing a high performing HR team, and enjoy operating in a strategic but also hands on role. Insurance or Financial Services industry experience is highly preferable.
