I'm currently working with a fantastic fast growth technology business on their search for a Head of People & Culture. With offices in Surrey and London, as well as 2 internationally, you will lead a HR team of 4 (2 in the UK, 2 internationally) in HR/Recruitment/L&D supporting a population of c.80. The business is continuing to expand with c.20 additional heads planned for this year so it's a really exciting time to join!
The organisation's founders have always put People and Culture at the heart of the business so this is a really critical hire for them - they have a strong and genuine culture with great values. This role will report directly to the Board and will have full responsibility for developing and implementing the people strategy, including embedding a culture focussed on engagement, reward and continuous improvement.
This is a fast paced environment and you will have significant responsibility, so the business is looking for a driven leader who is ambitious, commercial and has a track record of delivering and embedding a successful People strategy. As you'll be managing a team, previous line management experience is important.
One of the founders has acted as People Director for the last few years so operationally there is quite a bit already in place including recruitment processes, culture & values, training and a HR system. However, part of your remit will be to build on these HR processes and policies to ensure they are running smoothly and the right frameworks are in place to enable the business to grow.
As the business continues to grow and more employees are working remotely, they are looking to retain their strong culture and values so this will be a key focus in the role as well as wellbeing.
In terms of sector background, they are reasonably open but are looking for someone creative who can bring new ideas. They are looking for someone with a warm, approachable style. In this role you will report to the Board who will give you the freedom to make changes - they are not going to micro manage you.
When things are a little more normal, they would hope for you to work in the Surrey/London office around 2 days a week so you'll need to be able to commute to both of these locations.
Salary range is between £60-80k (depending on experience) + Bonus + Benefits
