We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Head of People (m/f/d) to join our client’s dynamic and growing organization in Wuppertal. You will play a critical role in shaping the company’s success by effectively managing and optimizing human resources in a pedagogic service environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Utilize strategic HR skills to develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the company’s goals and values.
  • Lead the organization in creating an operating model that supports sustainable growth and fosters employee satisfaction and development.
  • Drive and manage organizational changes based on the established operating model, promoting a seamless transition.
  • Implement effective HR policies, practices, and initiatives to optimize employee performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Oversee talent development programs, providing employees with opportunities for growth and skill enhancement.
  • Manage payroll processes and benefits administration to ensure accurate and timely compensation for employees.

Qualities and requirements

  • 10+ years of proven experience in human resource management, with a track record of success in driving organizational development and employee engagement.
  • An academic degree in a relevant field will be a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to control, coordinate, and monitor all HR activities to ensure efficient and compliant operations.
  • Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • Thorough knowledge of personnel planning and organizational development, enabling the establishment of a robust HR framework.
  • Familiarity with payroll processes to oversee accurate and timely payment procedures.
  • Openness to pedagogical topics, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to take HR to the “next level,” driving innovation and continuous improvement.
