An international law firm I have worked with for over 5 years have recently instructed me on a newly-created Business Partner role in their London HR team. Reporting into a Head of HR, this person will have responsibility for the firm's international offices including Europe, Africa and South America. Regular travel to these offices to help build relationships will be required, which is incredibly exciting!
You will be developing strong relationships across various international offices and will very much help to be the gel across the different jurisdictions. As well as providing a general HR service to your population, you will also be working closely on, and leading on, various projects, including a review of the career development process.
Prior experience of managing offices remotely will certainly give this person a head start, so experience from another international firm would be beneficial. As this person will be liaising regularly with partners and fee-earners, experience from another professional services firm will also help this person get up and running quickly.
Although not a prerequisite, French and/or Spanish language skills would be helpful for this person.
