My client is one of the largest most respected housing associations in London creating over 65000 houses across London and the South East. Winners of the Investors in People Award they not only succeed expectation internally with their employees but externally with their clients and community projects. They are looking to recruit a HR Director to lead the high achieving HR Team through rapid growth and culture change programmes. Having a fully integrated HR team covering the whole breadth of recruitment, Learning and development, organisational development, business partnering and shared services they are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring senior leader to continue to drive the continued success of a people strategy supporting 3000 employees.

As HR Director your principal purpose is to ensure you that the organisation has an engaged, diverse and inclusive workforce with the right knowledge, skills and behaviours to deliver its strategic goals. As a value led organisation you will create and deliver a People strategy that encompasses the organisations mission, vision and objectives whilst maintaining the core values and ethos at all times. With three direct reports and a team of 15 in HR you will design and grow a positive experience for every step of the employee journey, building practices that engage, develop and retain the best employees through best in class development programmes and streamlines HR processes. As part of the Leadership Team you will influence and advise colleagues on taking the best course of action and providing support and guidance on talent management, learning and development, creative recruitment solutions and employee feedback across the whole organisation. The organisation believes their people come first and ensure that when developing and embedding their desired culture that it is done so via their values and people first themes or experience, working together and with collaboration. You will support and develop the HR team to remain aligned, high performing and solutions-orientated, to support the business in delivering the organisations strategy.

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced and inspirational leader working at Director level previously in a similar sized organisation. You will generate confidence and respect across your internal and external stakeholder whilst maintaining collaboration and compassion at all times. You will be an excellent communicator with experience writing and presenting to Group Board level with the ability to engage them on the journey with you. With a proven track record in creating and implementing people strategy incorporating change programmes and employee engagement you will have successfully led, managed and coached your team and the wider employee ensuring they are supported through times of change. You will have a strong commercial awareness with knowledge of budget management and planning across a large and diverse organisation and at all times the ability to collaborate with leaders across multiple functions. You will display a sound knowledge of employment law applied effectively and the ability to anticipate future requirements coupled with an expert grasp of people management issues and their impact on the wider organisation at all times. It is essential you are Chartered FCIPD or equivalent and can evidence your continued professional development. Experience within a similar organisation or within housing, property or real estate would be desirable.
