This professional services organisation based in Southampton is seeking an HR Manager to lead a team of 3 and be responsible for the strategic direction and delivery of HR.
This is a role that offers empowerment and accountability across a headcount of 250 employees and is predominately based in Southampton with occasional travel to London.
As the HR Manager you will be responsible for running an efficient and effective HR department. You will be supporting 3 busy offices and will report into the Director of HR. This is a true generalist role and you will be expected to cover the full generalist remit.
Duties will include:
Managing and conducting all employee relation's case work to include, grievance, disciplinary, capability and absence.
Recruitment and selection of all level roles to include managerial positions.
You will ensure the HR team provides relevant coaching and support to line managers throughout the business covering, recruitment, performance management, health and well-being and absence management
Developing of HR policies and procedures ensuring they are in line with current employment legislation
Within this role you will take the lead on HR project work in line with business requirements and objectives including research, report/proposal writing, presentations, planning and implementation e.g., flexible working, GDPR, modular training programmes, recruitment and performance review.
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate a solid work history of operating as a true HR generalist. You will have ideally worked within a professional services firm and hold a CIPD qualification. It is essential you have managed a team and have the ability to engage with senior stakeholders and challenge decisions when necessary.
