A great HR Officer position has come available for a 10-month maternity cover to work for Australian progressive and modern national professional services firm. This role will be in the Sydney office working in a small team reporting directly into the HRM. You will work closely with the wider national team. This is a true generalist role, with the opportunity to get involved in exciting projects as well as scope to develop your HR experience in a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the first point of contact for day-to-day enquires
  • Heavily support graduate recruitment cycle
  • Involved with end-to-end recruitment process- advertising roles, screening candidates, involved with interview processes, reference checking
  • Support with HR projects such as managing engagement survey process
  • Processing documentation - preparing employment contracts, sending out offer letters, co-ordination of starters, leavers and practice certificate renewals
  • Regularly monitoring and updating data on the system
  • Support with creating and maintaining policies and procedures
  • Co-ordinate onboarding and exit processes
  • Work closely with wider national HR team

 

Ideal candidate:

  • 2-3 years HR generalist experience- experienced admin, who is now at co-Ordinator level looking for next step
  • Experience in a similar role within legal or professional services environment
  • Exposure to recruitment environment
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills- must be confident to approach senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build good rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • High attention to detail
  • Able to work to deadlines in a timely manner and juggle various tasks at once
  • Good knowledge of employment law
