HR Operations Manager

My client is a dynamic and innovative Oxfordshire based business that is looking for an HR Shared Services/Operations Manager on an interim basis to support an employee headcount of c.300 based in the UK. They are looking for an experienced HR professional who can own and lead the function and in turn design and deliver effective HR policies, processes and procedures, and importantly also get involved and contribute to what is a fun and collaborative working culture.

While directly managing an HR Assistant and working closely with the HR team and HR Business Partners, you will be responsible for ensuring that all administrative tasks, policies, processes and procedures are being designed, developed and executed accurately and effectively. As such the team is responsible for all day to day HR queries, escalating more complex queries as appropriate, across the full employee lifecycle to include areas such as recruitment support, contracts and onboarding; contractual changes; and promotions (all employee relations is handled separately). You will also be involved in some key projects including EDI and Wellbeing, and possibly the development and implementation of an HRIS.

Ideally you will have worked in an HR Shared Service team at an HR Operations Manager level within Financial or Professional Services or similar corporate environment. You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of developing and delivering robust and efficient HR administration policies, processes and procedures across the full employee lifecycle; delivering continuous improvements; and having managed small scale projects and programmes. Alongside evidence of driving change and new ways of working, you will be a confident and articulate communicator who is able to manage key internal stakeholders and relationships at all levels. You will be used to working with challenging and demanding stakeholders, be solution focused and able to thrive within a change led and fast paced working environment. Strong Excel skills are also highly desirable.

Due to the nature of this assignment you must be immediately available. The client is based in commuting distance from Oxford, Swindon, Reading and the Cotswolds.
