I am currently working with an organisation that represents and promotes Investment Managers across the UK and Globally. Supporting, shaping and promoting investment Managers is at the pinnacle of what they do and by this they ensure that the industry remains one of the world's most competitive in the market. They are looking to recruit a HR Policy Lead as a new addition the Risk, legal and Compliance team and reporting to the Director. This role supports the members of the body to stay in line with new policies around current affairs, skills and talent retention in the Investment Management sector.

My client is looking for an intuitive and driven professional who has ideally worked in financial services with a strong background in policy development and a deep understanding of current issues facing UK investment markets. This role offers the individual the opportunity to support the Association and its members at a time when Investment Management has been thrust into the spotlight due to its sheer structural importance to the UK economy. Many of the current regulatory issues and the wider political environment have a direct impact on the people within the sector and the role of Human Resources. These come in the form of the Brexit and immigration, Diversity, Gender Pay Gap Reporting and GDPR.

To support this increased focus the Association requires a HR Policy Lead who can work with them by providing policy input around these key areas whilst also leading a HR Committee to communicate changes in policies, up and coming new initiatives and supporting the executive team with all new or developing issues that may affect the industry. Alongside this you will also work with the Skills and D&I team to identify the skill gaps in the industry and develop the apprenticeship and talent retention methods whilst supporting the development of the internal D&I strategy.

To be successful in this role you will have proven substantial experience working at senior level alongside a considerable and extensive understanding of regulatory requirements relating to compliance, preferably in the financial services industry. You will have a minimum of 3 years in financial services or related sector and will be graduate level or equivalent. You will have a good understanding of the educational landscape and apprenticeships and a noted interest to stay up to date with current affairs. You will demonstrate excellent communication and written skills. You will be proactive with a strong work ethic with the ability to build strong relationships with your team, peers and senior level stakeholders. You will have a high level of a strategic thinking and analysis so as to have the ability to identify, retain and analyses information efficiently to give sound policy direction.

In this role you will have the opportunity to really shape a role that will be high profile within the organisation and offer you the chance to work closely with executive committees. Ultimately working on a strategy that supports an essential platform in our financial market.
