As an VP/AVP HR with our client, you will be responsible for their German legal entity, embedded in an international business partnering structure. You will play a vital role in providing strategic and general HR support and advice to the management and employees. Additionally, you will support the Head of HR with the local HR function and services, ensuring the smooth running of essential processes. This role will ideally be based in Frankfurt (on a hybrid working model).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for providing strategic and general HR support and advice to Senior Management, line managers and all employees as appropriate in all personnel matters and their regulatory implications
  • Support Head of HR with the local HR function and services (e.g. compensation cycle, performance management & talent reviews, succession planning, HR systems & administration, Payroll and administration of Benefits/Pension)
  • Liaise with L&D London to provide appropriate training and development opportunities for employees
  • Identify and lead on key HR related projects and contribute to global HR projects as determined by Head of HR EMEA
  • Ensure excellent communication and collaboration with other Group entities and liaise with HR colleagues in Europe to ensure consistency in applying policies and procedures
  • Acting as point of contact for public authorities, internal and statutory/external auditors with regards to the HR function

Profile:

  • HR experience within an Investment Banking environment
  • Solid experience of German employment law and working practices, including payroll and local benefits
  • A strong understanding of recruitment processes and the entire HR employee lifecycle as well as a good judgment across complex HR issues
  • Strong interpersonal / teamwork skills on both peers and senior management
  • An ability to manage and develop relationships and work flexibly within matrix management structures
  • Fluent in German and English
