HSE Advisor

Great opportunity to work within a supportive and collaborative team, you will report directly to the Regional Safety Manager and be responsible for the implementation and monitoring of a range of Health and Safety initiatives and systems to ensure the health and safety of employees, volunteers, contractors and visitors and to support business objectives and legislative requirements.

This role requires a flexible and solution focused approach with the ability to balance competing demands and to coach and influence line managers and various stakeholders to assist them to lead their area towards the businesses goals.

This role will require travel to Vic regional offices

The suitable candidate should bring relevant safety experience gained within either a multi-site environment or a very diverse business. You should bring an appetite for learning and curiosity to enhance and contribute towards new and existing programs and be passionate about continuous improvement. You should demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to navigate within a busy and at times reactive environment.

Minimum requirements for this role:

• Tertiary qualifications in Health & Safety are essential
• Ability to undertake audits, risk assessments and investigations.
• Good written & oral communication and influencing skills including the ability to consult with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and deliver presentations.
• Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
• Good computer skills – particularly the Microsoft Suite.
• Demonstrated experience in designing and delivery training and awareness sessions.
