£60,000 – £70,000 + up to 20% bonus

London, on site (flexible working available)

I am delighted to be working exclusively with a leading chemical organisation in Central London to recruit a HR Business Partner. Working in London, our client is located across 29 countries throughout the world, encompassing consumer brands, industry leading products and sports partnerships. This role is a fantastic opportunity reporting into the HR Director.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting two business areas of around 60-70 professional employees.
  • Supporting managers, team leaders and employees on all people related issues
  • Work with the local leadership team to ensure HR policies and procedures are applied fairly and consistently to all employees
  • Deliver compensation and benefit activities for the team, including job evaluation, promotion processes and salary management within country and business guidelines
  • Coach and support line managers in all performance management topics (discipline, grievance, capability, appraisals, upward feedback, absence management …) to set performance standards in line with the business requirements / legal compliance
  • Deliver employee development and succession planning to ensure the right levels of competency, skills, and talent
  • Support business resourcing requirements ensuring all vacancies are filled in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
  • Lead specific HR project activities on an “as required” basis
  • Liaise and work with the appointed HR Co-ordinator and payroll provider (both at a remote location) to deliver the HR objectives accurately
  • Ensure effective use of HRIS to support managers / individuals, ensuring accuracy of data maintained and provided

About you:

  • You will have a minimum of 5-7 years’ generalist experience, with strong payroll experience and compensation knowledge
  • You will be a driven and successful HR professional with both CIPD and degree qualified – Ideally from either chemical, oil & energy, shipping, manufacturing, or financial sector.
  • Positive, ‘can-do’ mind-set, with a real focus on delivery
  • Ability to deliver role on standalone basis with Line Manager and Administration support both at remote location to London base
  • Experience in analysing, presenting, and using people data to drive decision making
  • Ability to manage multiple management relationships and conflicting pressures
