Instore HR Manager

We are working with a dynamic, market leading Retail organisation in Birmingham to recruit an Instore HR Manager. This retail organisation were one of the first to recognise their social and economic responsibilities and have been a leader in ethical trading in 2011. Unsold merchandise is donated to charities internationally and 94% of waste from stores & warehouses being currently recycled.

They are now looking to recruit an Instore HR Manager in Birmingham to support a site of 400 employees. As HR Manager you will take the lead on site reporting into the Regional HR Business Partner undertaking all hands on operational support on site.

You will be responsible for all reactive and proactive initiatives. Your scope will cover the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment, on-boarding and all HR Administration associated with a new starter. You will support all employee relations casework and people issues both formally and informally - supporting Store Managers.

You will champion GDPR and ensure compliance throughout the store. You will feed into employee engagement, learning and development and training. As HR Lead on site you will be the link between the Store Manager and HR, ensuring the HR agenda is implemented and a factor in business decisions, at the forefront of managers minds.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong, confident and ambitious HR professional who is looking to take a lead role on site. You could be CIPD Level 3 or 5 Qualified or have the equivalent level of experience. If you are looking to reach Level 7 this organisation will support you financially. You will need strong employee relations experience and a great understanding of employment law.

You will need Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels and work effectively across an organisation. You will need to be confident on your decision making and comfortable having difficult conversations. You will also have a relentless drive to improve performance and deliver outstanding results through new, innovative and more effective ways of working. Experience working with Retail is highly advantageous. This is a 24 hour operation with 5/7 weekends required to work which is rotated with a support team of two.
