A leading global law firm is currently seeking an interim Director of Human Resources EMEA to lead the day to day management of the people function across the region. The role is based in London and offered on a 12 month FTC basis to cover a period of parental leave.
The role works closely with the leadership team to ensure the employee value proposition is delivered across the firm and the HR team remain aligned, high performing and solutions-orientated to support the business in delivering on the Firm's wider strategy. You will manage a team of Regional Heads to drive the people agenda and ensure an integrated and efficient HR service across EMEA as well as leading and managing the key global and regional people processes.
The role will also be responsible for fostering strong relationships with partners, lawyers and other business leaders, driving the enhanced performance management process and overseeing the development/implementation of policies and procedures aligned with the firms values and global talent philosophy. This is a visible role within EMEA and will focus on managing difficult messages or senior exits and championing 'people-focused' strategic human resources capabilities, innovations and approaches throughout the region.
To be considered for this role you must have extensive experience leading on all aspects of a strategic human resources function for a multi-national, multi-office organisation, with an emphasis and understanding of employee relations/legal considerations across EMEA. Outstanding relationship building skills and a personable approach and gravitas to lead through influence rather than control is essential, and professional services experience is preferred. A Legal background would be ideal.
