I'm currently working with a highly regarded commercial law firm based in the City on an interim Head of HR position to start as soon as possible. The contract will be for three months initially and the firm is keen to identify an individual with a strong legal background and who is able to hit the ground running.
It's an exciting time to be joining the firm and the Head of HR role will have the opportunity to pick up on several key projects which will impact the business significantly in the future such as a pensions and benefits review, developing a new HR system and overhauling the current performance management process.
Other responsibilities will also include:
- Delivering a full suite of HR services to the entire firm and acting as a trusted advisor to the Partner group
- Day to day management of the HR team of two headcount and allocating work appropriately
- Engaging with senior managers to understand common challenges and frustrations and how HR can support them
- Managing all recruitment and working with third party agencies to identify talent
You must be comfortable leading an HR function, have a strong understanding of the legal environment and experience working with Partner groups previously to be considered for this role. It is essential that you have worked in a law firm before and are able to pick up new processes and systems quickly and easily. The role will require an individual who can commit for a period of three months initially and be available to start at short notice. It would be advantageous if this person had not only managed teams and an HR function, but also led a firm through a period of change and had experience of managing partners/senior leaders through this transition.
The SR Group (UK) Limited is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
