Learning and Development Manager

Watford, Hertfordshire / Hybrid working

£50,000 – £60,000 + strong benefits

This is a standalone L&D Manager role working for a mid sized organisation in the financial services sector, you will be responsible for design and delivery of the learning and coaching for the business working closely with HR and the department managers

DUTIES

• Working in a stand alone role, you will be responsible for the design and delivery for all learning in the organisation
• Working with the HR Director and line managers as well as the HRBPs to deliver a learning path to each member of staff especially through probation periods and then set career goals and ongoing learning
• Identify key talent and work on management development programmes and high potential programmes across the business, designing and implementing
• Liaising with external training providers where necessary and support in the design of courses and bespoke training
• Implement new training initiatives, report on KPIs and make sure the learning strategy is in alignment with the people strategy focusing on the culture and company values
• Be able to think outside the box, be creative with your learning agenda and deliver new ideas to the business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• A strong L&D background including experience of design and delivery working in a small/medium company is required
• Strong communication skills, energy and passion for learning, have a blended approach to your learning style and experience delivering this
• A qualification in L&D is highly desirable as is experience across all methods of learning
• Ability to negotiate with external suppliers, building relationships internally and externally and know how to get the best out of people and take them on the learning journey
• A passion for learning and experience of coaching and developing learning programmes as well as delivering across a range of business areas
