We have a current opportunity for a Leadership, Learning & Talent Manager on a permanent basis working with a leading insurance firm.

The position will be based in City, London and offers hybrid working.

Overview:

The Group Leadership, Learning and Talent Manager will sit within the Group Centre of Expertise for Leadership, Learning & Talent where they will help to provide the thought leadership, methodology and toolkits to help shape and implement the firms approach to developing our people globally. Key Duties:

  • As a member of the Group COE for LL&T works collaboratively to provide thought leadership and pragmatic solutions at Group level in line with the firms agile and responsive culture
  • Works with internal stakeholders to develop a group-wide portfolio of leadership and talent products and solutions. Leads on the diagnostic and design stages to ensure outcomes are commercially aligned.
  • Accountable for holding a well-informed central view of all strategic organisation design initiatives and activities – coordinating central governance and systems, along with reporting for the HR Leadership Team (HRLT), and executive teams to drive insight and decision making.
  • Partners with the business to establish a more profound learning culture – taking into consideration the full learning lifecycle e.g needs analysis, design, delivery, facilitation, coaching and measuring impact. Comfortably challenging business thinking to drive the right learning outcomes
  • The role will hold responsibility for a client group and offer insight, challenge and new innovative thinking to people managers and employees, identifying ways to improve learning and talent initiatives to establish value and ROI
  • Promotes a high performance culture based on identifying and developing talent to enable and drive the business to deliver their objectives, working with employees and empowering managers with the tools to build a more robust process / framework. Coach facilitate, develop and nurture talent
  • Partners with fellow COE SME’s, HRBP’s and business clients at global and local level to agree communication plans to signpost the LL&T offering and drive engagement and support Coaches and supports in the delivery of LL&T interventions e.g. talent reviews and calibration sessions, leadership workshops, team development.
  • Works with vendors to source appropriate solutions and manages external contractors.
  • Supports the on-going review and evaluation of the LL&T portfolio of interventions and materials
  • Manages specific programmes or initiatives e.g. HiPo, First Line Management, Transformational Leadership.

The successful candidate should have:

  • Significant depth and breadth of experience in design and delivery of interventions in at least two of the headline areas of expertise i.e. leadership, Learning or Talent
  • Experience of working in a group centre of expertise is desirable and/or global experience
  • Individuals that have operated, or helped build, newly created functions or COEs is highly desirable
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and mentoring skills
  • Stakeholder management: The individual should be able to demonstrate managing a range of stakeholder groups and levels.
  • You will have the ability to combine big picture, creative thinking with pragmatic delivery.
  • Collaborative and growth mindset: you will be able to work successfully with key stakeholders to create joint expectations and deliverables; striving for positive results and engaging others in the journey
  • You are an advocate for embedding diversity and inclusion into talent management and development
