I am working with a manufacturing & engineering business based close to Swansea and Bridgend in South Wales that are looking for a Learning & Development Manager.
Reporting to the HR Director with responsibility for a team of 10 across the UK and Europe (direct 4 and indirect 6), this role is responsible for developing and delivering the L&D strategy and all associated activities across the UK and two European sites. This will include:
- Leadership and behavioural development programmes
- Design and lead the apprentice development programme
- Management of the L&D budget and all 3rd party suppliers
- Training programmes
- All L&D procedures and processes
Naturally you will build strong working relationships with senior leadership teams to understand their business areas and L&D needs.
The position requires experience of working within a similar manufacturing and engineering environment, a strong track record in developing and delivering L&D and Leadership Development programmes, and experience of leading teams across multiple locations. Experience of delivering L&D programmes across European countries would be a distinct advantage. Experience of online learning tools and techniques, coaching skills and the ability to influence people at all levels is also required.
The role will include travel to London and into Europe.
