  • Take a partnership approach to supporting line managers with resourcing, developing business partnerships to ensure proactive solutions are provided
  • Partner with Senior Managers to create their recruitment strategy, working continually with them to ensure successful delivery
  • Influence managers with best practice recruitment methods, ensuring completion of required documents and correct recruitment authorisation has been followed and is in place
  • Ensure recruitment approvals are recorded accurately on the recruitment authorisation tracker and this is kept up to date at all time
  • Manage high volume recruitment across varied business lines
  • Review the end to end recruitment process and implement new initiatives from this
  • Write job adverts for attracting talent and work with external recruitment websites to increase direct hiring
  • Promote and encourage the internal and group mobility with the objective to increase significantly the mobility rate and decrease external recruitment. Liaise with HR contracts in various locations and business to encourage mobility
  • Manage our various initiatives such as Industrial Placements, Internship programmes and Early Careers opportunities
  • Attend external events to work with external partners to build our brand in the marketplace such as school events and Glasgow Economic Leadership
  • Liaise with external agency suppliers to build a strong relationship and ensure a consistent flow of quality candidates and build knowledge of market changes
  • Benchmark roles using external suppliers where appropriate to ensure salaries are in line with internal peer benchmarks and external market trends
  • Review applications, CVs, liaise with hiring managers and the HR Admin team to arrange interviews, conduct HR interviews and coordinate feedback to providing support or hiring decisions
  • Use the applicant tracking systems Taleo and E-Jobs efficiently to maintain complete records
  • Monitor, record and respond to all direct applicants, ensuring that GDPR regulations are maintained
  • Actively manage and monitor the recruitment of contingent worker staff via AMS, validate hires and ensure offers are made with accurate dates and pay rates
  • Ensure the timely completion of on boarding processes for all new starters, ensure employee files are complete, scanning any required files , review employment contracts and ensure regular contact with the candidate and HR Admin
  • Manage and monitor the delivery of recruitment interview training for line managers and ensure they are trained to the required level and able to make informed and appropriate hiring decisions for the company - this will include production of core competency interviewing packs (e.g. sample questions, feedback forms etc)

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

  • Recruitment experience gained in an in-house environment, across multiple disciplines, including temporary and permanent recruitment
  • Proven track record in building relationships at all levels
  • Proven track record in direct recruitment and sourcing methodologies
  • Ability to manage a complex and demanding portfolio
  • Internal consulting skills and relationship management ability
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and employment law
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of Taleo, PeopleSoft or similar recruiting software
  • Demonstrated competency in HR
