Given their dominance over the market in Asia and their plan to continuously look for growth opportunities; they are currently looking for a regional HR Business Partner who would help to oversee the various manufacturing facilities spread across Asia Pacific.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing facilities spread across the region and to focus efforts on strategic initiatives which can bring the level of HR maturity of these countries up to the next level. There will be in-country HR professionals who would be dotted line into this role and they will be responsible for the HR operations on the ground. You will work closely with the country HRBPs to derive proper action plans that will help align process and to establish governance over policies. Currently the individual countries are focusing on initiatives which are country specific and hence your role would be to bring them together to ensure a certain level of consistency.
The Successful Applicant
Ideally, this individual should possess a highly dynamic and adaptable learning agility with the desire to drive tangible results. This individual should possess strong stakeholder management skills and have a good understanding of labour laws and their implications. Someone who is able to align well with various HR professionals to establish governance, compliance and consistency. Lastly, given that you would have to work in virtual teams, this individual should have an innate ability to build relationships from afar and have strong people-influencing skills. The successful applicant should also have some exposure in manufacturing or hard-industry experience, dealing with blue collared workers in their careers. Someone coming from the FMCG environments would be ideal.
