We have been retained by a leading precision engineering UK MNC, to appoint a strategic and forward-thinking Head of HR to lead and drive their HR strategies in Asia Pacific. Our client’s brand is rooted in the belief that innovation is key, an ethos that has enabled them to achieve sustained growth amidst these trying times, while being cognizant that its people are the most valuable asset. With an exceptionally strong YOY results and business expansion across multiple locations, the Regional HR Director – APAC is a pivotal role to support and advice their leadership team on key HR roadmap and initiatives while advocating for a progressive “Employer of Choice” in the region. This role is based in Singapore.

Job Description

Reporting to the Chief HR Officer and Regional President, you will be managing and leading the HR team in APAC across Greater China, SEA, Japan and ANZ. You will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team where you will conceptualise and drive HR strategies and initiatives to support their growth. The top agenda for the business will be driving and spearheading HR transformation for the organisation. Amongst their HR strategies and projects, there will be a focus on their talent pool, which includes talent development, talent engagement and the talent “readiness”, across diverse markets.

The Successful Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should have a track record in supporting and driving a high growth and matrix organization within industrial or similar sector. As a proven HR leader with at least 15 years of leadership experience, you have a broad knowledge of HR capabilities and best practices, coupled the ability to develop and execute insightful and meaningful HR roadmap and/or initiatives to support a dynamic business. You possess strong consultancy skills to influence and advise a diverse leadership team, and to drive a high performance culture and excellence in the HR organisation. You build strong relationships at all levels across the organisation, a team player and mentor/coach who possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
