Our client, one of the largest energy companies in Europe, is looking to appoint, for their office in Essen (Germany) a:

Reward Specialist (m/f/d)


  • Work with the global HR reward team as a sparring partner and subject matter expert in all compensation and benefits topics such as base salary, incentive plans, salary benchmarking, pensions, audits, bonuses, and salary review for the entire business
  • Support the Head of Reward in developing and implementing operational and strategic reward and compensation structures across all locations and new markets
  • Review and improve existing policies and processes where necessary
  • Develop and analyse job evaluations, grading and benchmarking processes, and external survey data collections
  • Develop and report people analytics to identify trends and deliver solutions
  • Develop and manage big data models with Excel, VBA, Power Query, and internal HRIS


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field like economics or mathematics
  • Experience in a reward or/and related HR roles
  • Experience in a fast paced, ambiguous, and international environment preferred
  • Experience in benchmarking and evaluation methods as well as job evaluation
  • Possess analytical skills to support data-driven decision making
  • Ability to align reward policy to business objectives in a commercially driven manner
  • Outstanding Excel and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Affinity for HR Technology and systems. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors would be advantageous
  • Fluent in English and German
