Senior HR Manager – Law
Our client is a prestigious global Law firm with a strong presence in Singapore. They have exclusively engaged our services to appoint a strong Senior HR Manager to have oversight of the Singapore office and manage the fantastic HR team who you will nurture and develop.
You will be accountable for a progressive HR agenda and stakeholder relations with Partners and will sit as part of the HR Leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-end prestigious firm that is all about quality. You will own the strategy and operations for the Singapore office end-to-end and liaise with your regional and global counterparts.
This is the most senior HR position within Singapore and will need to be autonomous and have accountability for the people aspects for the office. Stakeholder management, operational excellence, relationship building and flexibility with the business will be a key competency for the role as new initiatives need to have strong business buy-in.
Based in Singapore, this role will be responsible for the implementation of the HR strategy and smooth running of daily operations. They have a number of international transfers in and out of the business so a global mindset is needed for this.
Strategic Oversight: You will play a lead role in the development and implementation of commercial HR solutions (in line with the firm’s parameters and local market) to support the firm’s strategy for Singapore. This will include establishing strong operational excellence, being a change leader when necessary, supporting talent management processes, operational efficiency and HR expertise.
You will act as a lead on a number of HR initiatives and collaborate with global/APAC counterparts to roll out diversity, engagement, health and wellbeing, global best practices for recruitment, employer branding, employment, induction revamp for trainees.
Operational Excellence: The HR team covers all aspects of HR, including Performance Management, C&B, Recruitment, Mobility and ER as well as exciting local, regional and global HR Projects. You will act as a lead on a number of HR initiatives and collaborate with global/APAC counterparts to roll out diversity, absence, and development programmes and other projects that play to your strength and leaning. Your role will be to ‘future proof’ the business.
Background: To be considered for this role you will already have international exposure within a professional services environment having worked in a partnership model. Experience in forging strong relationship at all levels and working in a law firm or professional services is strongly desirable. You will also have experience managing and developing a team of HR professionals.
