Senior Manager, International Compensation
A thriving investment business (20,000 + staff) is now looking to hire a Senior Reward Manager to join their London office. Reporting into the Global Head of Reward, this newly created role will support their European and APAC regions (c4,000 staff) and will focus on programs that are designed to ensure appropriate alignment across their functions and lines of business globally and will manage the execution of a competitive and equitable program to attract, retain and engage key talent in all non-US regions. In addition, the position will monitor the effectiveness and cost competitiveness of broad-based, incentive, and equity compensation programs and act as a trusted advisor to provide recommendations consistent with the compensation philosophy, business requirements, market competitiveness and cost effectiveness. Key duties will be to:
- Serve as the subject matter expert in cash and equity-based pay instruments for the international populations spread across Europe, APAC, LaTAM.
- Design and execute equitable and scalable broad-based compensation structures across regions and business lines; this includes:
- Job evaluation and market pricing to ensure market competitiveness.
- Annual budget and structure analysis
- In-depth compensation analysis to ensure internal pay equity and regulatory compliance.
- Structure support and advance the pay agenda focus on DE&I
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement new strategies to help increase the ability to attract, retain, and reward high performance talent.
- Actively participate in meetings with the HR BP community and senior stakeholders, to offer compensation support, advice, and recommendations.
- Provide training on the compensation philosophy and practices with a focus on cultivating a pay-for-performance culture.
- Own and manage the annual compensation review cycle for our international businesses.
- Communicate and educate eligible team members on Group equity compensation plans, policies, and treatment per the local jurisdiction’s regulations.
As a result, the business is looking to meet candidates with significant international reward experience (EMEA, APAC etc.,) together with the usual exposure to benchmarking (WTW, McLagan) and any experience of equity compensation administration would be ideal (although they are happy to offer this as a development piece, to include learning their Carry Schemes). Proven process and project management skills are required together with excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to work effectively to deadlines while showing sound judgement under pressure. Somone who is able to demonstrate a commercial approach and understanding of business needs and quickly establish and maintain positive relationships with a track record of influencing and driving change. The business is based in brand new state of the art offices close to Liverpool Street/Moorgate and are office based for x2 days per week. In addition to the above base salary, you will receive a substantial annual bonus and the business is happy to buyout any accrued bonus/LTIP for 2023.
