Our client, a global ad tech company with just over 250 employees, is looking to hire a Senior Manager of People. This position is based in Downtown Manhattan. This is a newly created role that is being created as part of a strategic rebuild of HR under a new and energized executive leadership team, and will report into a Senior People Director.
The Senior Manager is an individual contributor and a functional expert on the HR team, but will provide day-to-day guidance to two other colleagues on the HR team (an HR Business Partner and a Payroll & Benefits Specialist). In this role, you'll support the ongoing advisory and tactical needs of the business alongside the other members of the HR team, as well as work on a number of HR projects and initiatives that require heavy interaction with senior leadership, such as a job evaluation and compensation study for the company as a whole, the development of a talent management framework built on competencies and recently redefined diversity, equity and inclusion objectives, as well as the strategic rebuild of the training and development capability. The goal of this position is to own more of the day-to-day delivery of HR support to the business so as to free up the Senior Director to focus on working more closely with executive leadership on the overall strategic HR objectives.
This client is seeking candidates with 5-10 years of full fledged HR business partnering experience, having a mix of both hands-on/technical expertise, as well as strategic and project management experience across all aspects of the HR function; talent management, training & development, performance management, employee relations, and recruitment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a much larger, established HR function, as well as experience in a smaller to mid-sized company where HR is much more hands-on and technical in nature. Experience in the media, technology, or ad tech sector is strongly preferred.
Due to Covid-19, this individual will start in the role virtually, but will likely transition to onsite support of the business as the company reopens its facilities later in the year.
