Staffing Manager
Due to their exponential growth, Frazer Jones are excited to partner with an international consultancy firm to assist with their search for a Staffing Manager for the IMEA region (India, Middle East, and Africa). With offices dispersed across the globe and a team of over 6500 professionals worldwide, each are dedicated to optimizing businesses, improving operations, managing risk, and accelerating organizational performance.
As the Staffing Manager, you will be responsible for various aspects including staffing, development, retention, and management of the consultants across the IMEA region. Additionally, you will take a leadership role on all talent-related topics for at least one of the offices within the region.
This position is crucial for the smooth functioning of the business in a fast-paced, professional services environment.
Responsibilities of the role:
Staffing:
- Independently managing the staffing of Associates through to Principals across the IMEA region for selected industries, involving over 80 individuals.
- Engaging in senior stakeholder interaction and acting as a trusted advisor for resourcing decisions.
- Understanding consultant performance, skills, and development needs to facilitate a smooth staffing process.
- Leveraging knowledge of consultant skills, development goals, and preferences to drive their personal development through strategic staffing.
- Proactively understanding the pipeline of potential projects and raising any issues or concerns.
- Collaborating with other Talent Managers to find solutions and running regular meetings with Industry Heads, Office, and Market Leads.
Talent Management:
- Building relationships with consultants to understand their capabilities, professional goals, and personal situations.
- Managing information and dialogues around consultant wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to discuss strategic priorities such as pyramid and capacity planning, performance management, and engagement.
- Analysing trends and metrics, providing insights to the business, and working on appropriate solutions.
- Supporting the business in planning and delivering extensive changes.
- Identifying training needs and collaborating with stakeholders to address them.
- Guiding Career Advisors on counselling, coaching, and guiding employees to improve performance and engagement.
- Working closely with the Regional Head of Talent Management on various HR projects and initiatives in the IMEA region.
Performance Management:
- Actively engaging in the career review process, working closely with the Performance Management function.
- Reviewing reports provided by the Performance Management function and discussing trends and proposed solutions with the business.
- Developing thoughtful career discussions and plans with career advisors and consultants.
- Understanding the competency model of consultants and having discussions on ways to improve their toolkit.
Reporting:
- Reviewing relevant reports and discussing trends with the business.
- Coordinating the production of weekly consultant availability lists and keeping them up to date.
- Ensuring accuracy and management of data in resource planning databases such as Retain and Workday.
- Recording starter and leaver information accurately.
- Ensuring training courses are accurately reflected in Retain.
- Running weekly project extension and roll off updates.
- Providing input to monthly Retain/Timesheet variance process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of relevant professional experience, ideally in Management Consulting or Big 4 Consulting
- Ability to balance work demands in challenging environment, foster relationships at all levels, and provide strategic guidance.
Skillset:
- Excellent communication, organizational and teaming skills
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities.
- Flexibility, attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks, and work with confidential data.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with resource management systems.
